Who we are

CRE Tycoon is made by Erik Egelko in San Diego, California ("we", "us"). Questions about this policy go to [email protected].

The game: what stays on your device

The game at play.cretycoon.com keeps your career in your browser's local storage. That includes:

• your one save for the current career, saved automatically after every change;
• your settings, such as theme and font size;
• your final score and the perk you picked for your next career;
• a few small flags, such as whether you dismissed the install prompt.

None of this is sent to us. There are no cloud saves, so we can't see, restore or move your save. Clearing your browser's data for the site, or using a private window, deletes it.

The game does not use analytics, advertising or tracking services. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives the ordinary details of that request (such as your IP address and browser), as it does for any site that uses those fonts.

The game: if you sign in for the leaderboard

Signing in is optional. Its only use is to post your score to the global leaderboard. Accounts are run by our provider, Supabase, which stores the data below for us. You can sign in with an email address and password, with Google, Facebook or Apple, or as a guest without giving any details.

When you sign in, we store a player profile with:

• a display name (taken from your sign-in account, or one you choose);
• your email address, if your sign-in method provides one;
• the web address of your profile photo, if your sign-in account has one;
• which sign-in method you used.

When the game posts a score, it sends:

• your display name and profile photo address;
• your net worth, rank, buildings owned, deals closed, prestige level and game month;
• your career's timing: an ID for the career, when it started, and any bonus months. We use this only to check that a career wasn't played faster than its months arrive.

Your display name and leaderboard entries are visible to other players. Your email address is not shown. When you are signed in, Supabase keeps your sign-in session in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in.

If you sign in with Google, Facebook or Apple, that company handles the sign-in and shares only your basic profile (name, email address and photo) with us. We don't get access to anything else in that account, and you can remove CRE Tycoon's access in that account's settings at any time.

This website

cretycoon.com uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and links people use, including clicks on the Play buttons. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives details such as your approximate location, device, browser, the pages you view and the site that sent you. You can block it with your browser's privacy settings, a content blocker, or Google's opt-out add-on. See Google's privacy policy for how Google uses this data.

The website has no accounts, forms or comments. Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to run and protect the site.

What we don't do

• We don't sell, rent or trade your information.
• We don't show ads, and there is nothing to buy, so we never ask for payment details.
• We don't use your information for marketing or send you marketing email. (Signing up with an email address may send you account emails, such as a confirmation link, from our sign-in provider.)

How long we keep it

Your leaderboard profile and scores stay until you ask us to delete them, or until we remove an entry under theterms. What's saved on your device stays until you clear it. Google Analytics data is kept under the retention settings of our Analytics account.

Deleting your data

To delete your leaderboard account and entries, email [email protected] from the address you signed in with, or tell us your display name and sign-in method if you signed in as a guest or with an account that has no email address. We'll remove your profile and scores and confirm once it's done. You can also ask us what we hold about you, or to correct it, the same way.

To delete your game save, clear this site's data in your browser settings. We can't do it for you, because we never have it.

Children

CRE Tycoon is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. The game can be played without signing in. If you believe a child under 13 has signed in, email us and we'll delete the account.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Using the site or the game after a change means you accept the updated policy.
